FAQ's
-
How long should my hair be? Should I trim it before? For best results, your hair should be at least a quarter inch, or the length of a grain of rice. This assures that the wax is able to grip to all of the hair. Please do not trim your hair. It is possible for you to trim it too short. If it does need trimming, I can do it at the appointment.
-
Can I still get waxed if I’m on my period? This is totally based on your comfort level, but YES, you can still come in while you're on your period. I just ask that you put in a fresh tampon or cup right before the appointment. I will let you know that the skin tends to be more sensitive from about 3 days prior to 3 days after your period, so you may want to schedule accordingly.
-
If I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment? If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment start time. You are able to do this through your confirmation text or email. I do understand that life happens, so if there are any last minute changes to your appointment I just ask that you please let me know as soon as possible so I can adjust my schedule accordingly and open up that spot to another guest. I’m very accommodating and I promise not to be mad at you ( no need to stress).
-
What type of wax do you use?I use both soft ( strip) wax, and hard wax ( stripless). The soft wax is infused with beeswax, is gentle and instantly leaves your skin sleek, soft, and silky smooth. The hard wax I use is creamy and is suitable for even sensitive skin, plus it’s gorgeous and sparkly.
-
How should I prep for my appointment?Take a deep breath, no need to get nervous, I promise you’re gonna do great! To prep for your appointment, make sure that you are keeping the area moisturized, and exfoliate about 24 hours before. Try to refrain from drinking caffeine on the day of your appointment, as it can make you a little more sensitive to the pain. You can take Tylenol ( acetaminophen) 30 minutes before your appointment, but avoid taking ibuprofen or aspirin, as these may thin the blood and make you more prone to pinpoint bleeding during the service.
